Never before in our history have we had the opportunity to get to know those who possibly will be making decisions that impact our lives.
Never before have we had such easy access to vetting what candidates say.
Never before have we been in a position to verify what might be misinformation.
But…
Sadly, never before have we been more polarized in our unwillingness to look beyond our tribal dictates.
Just a few days ago the Family Leadership Conference (The Midwest’s largest gathering of Christians seeking cultural transformation in the family, church, government and more.) held a Summit in which Tucker Carlson interviewed the major Republican presidential primary candidates. Interviews such as this are a great way to get a feel for the candidate especially when being interviewed by someone like Tucker who will not only ask tough questions but more importantly follow-up to answers that are cloaked with politi-speak.
The candidates interviewed were Tom Scott, Mike Pence, Niki Haley, Asa Hutchinson, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ron DeSantis. Former President Donald Trump did not attend.
I am sharing the two most significant interviews, Ron Desantis and Vivek Ramaswamy. All others were pretty much what you would expect with the exception of Asa Hutchinson and Mike Pence which were disasters (they should just drop out now, going further will just be a total waste of time and money).
