Clap Off : Fire James Clapper

Remember this guy? He was the one who didn’t have a clue back in December when Diane Sawyer asked what he thought of the London terror plot that had been busted a few hours earlier.
He is our Director of National Intelligence and he is beyond incompetent, he’s dangerous.

It’s not called the “Secular Brotherhood” or the “Middle East Brotherhood” it’s the “Muslim Brotherhood” and they do have an agenda.

Their slogan: “Islam is the Solution”

The question is what is James Clapper’s agenda?

Hamas is the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.
James, is Hamas secular as well?

Translated by Palestinian Media Watch, book details group’s goal of global Islamic conquest.

“It should be known that jihad and preparation towards jihad are not only for the purpose of fending off assaults and attacks of Allah’s enemies from Muslims, but are also for the purpose of realizing the great task of establishing an Islamic state and strengthening the religion and spreading it around the world.”

“Jihad for Allah,” Mashhur wrote, “is not limited to the specific region of the Islamic countries, since the Muslim homeland is one and is not divided, and the banner of Jihad has already been raised in some of its parts, and shall continue to be raised, with the help of Allah, until every inch of the land of Islam will be liberated, and the State of Islam established.”
…their goal is to establish a new muslim caliphate and destroy anyone who would stand in their way of doing this.

Here’s an example from a book by Mustafa Mashhur, entitled “Jihad is the Way”.  Mustafa Mashhur was the fifth General Guide, the official leader, of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt from 1996 until his death in 2002.  He makes no bones about the duty of all Muslims as far as he’s concerned – and he certainly would be seen to speak for the MB’s attitude given he was their leader for 6 years..

Jihad is the way. We need to be fully aware of this and to act and follow in its way. The faltering of faith has led the Muslims to their current state: one of laxity, disintegration, the dominion of Allah’s enemies over the Muslim’s resources, and the succumbing of some of them to abandoning their faith. The revival of the faith is the starting point for the revival and revitalization of the Islamic Ummah [nation], so that it can regain its power and be liberated and assume its rightful position which was intended by Allah, as the most exalted nation among men , as the leaders of humanity, and through this religion of truth they will deliver humanity from darkness unto light.

Former UN Ambassodor John Bolten’s reaction to Clapper’s statement:

When speaking of Egypt, “President Obama said ‘history is being made’ and indeed history is already being made,” said an incredulous Bolton, outraged at what he considered perhaps the stupidest statement made by any administration in U.S. international history. He went on to say that,”The idea that the idea that Muslim Brotherhood, if it got power in Egypt, would behave any different that Hamas is absurd.”

Our President and his administration have from day one of the Egyptian uprising been behind the curve and confusing in it’s message. No true passion and no denouncing of radical groups like the the MB. With statements like “we are reevaluating our view of the Muslim Brotherhood” they have shown no moral conviction and seem to be pleading that we just want to be friends with whoever comes into power. We have, from day one, appeared weak and uninformed.

The protesters waited to hear an announcement from Mubarak today in which they expected to hear that he would be stepping down but in essence was told that his VP would now be in charge but it was evident that Mubarak would still be in control. In a short while there will be the Friday call to prayer in Cairo and because  the protesters expectations were high and then squelched this day could lead to violence.
It appears inevitable that the military, which is the most stable entity in all this, will have to make a decision.

…a massive crisis for the Egyptian military. Its goal is not to save Mubarak but to save the regime founded by Gamal Abdel Nasser. We are now less than six hours from dawn in Cairo. The military faces three choices. The first is to stand back, allow the crowds to swell and likely march to the presidential palace and perhaps enter the grounds. The second choice is to move troops and armor into position to block more demonstrators from entering Tahrir Square and keep those in the square in place. The third is to stage a coup and overthrow Mubarak.

But beyond the many concerns over what may happen, and they are severe, we must be extremely concerned over how inept our government has appeared regarding the Muslim Brotherhood and WHY.
If you’ll revisit my previous post you’ll see that on Superbowl Sunday Obama referred to the MB as “just another faction“.
This is not what he or anyone from our government should be saying about the MB. Mubarak has been an ally of ours for thirty years and we can’t just throw him under the bus but Mubarak’s day is over. We should stand for a more democratic government than Mubarak but that doesn’t mean we can’t truthfully differentiate between the groups that are jocking for position in Egypt.
The protesters don’t really have a leader and the MB have been moving to fill that void. If the MB gain any type of control or even a strong (read any) position in the Egyptian government then we will be facing a very dangerous new world.
So it is imperative that we are informed and aware of the possibilities and what they would mean. Our President should be warning us as well as the world of the dangers that could result if the Muslim Brotherhood gain any type of governing power in Egypt.
